Tracking ChangelogGrowing Sales in International Markets
Grow sales volume by doubling down on international markets. 🌎
If you sell products internationally, does your store/content reflect the culture of that market?
Germany (DE), for instance, has 83M people. France (FR) has 67M. And so on..
If you’re selling broad & seeing pockets of sales in specific geos emerge, do these 6 things to grow the market. 👇
1) Identify the INTL market that is generating the most amount of sales via broad targeting.
2) Translate your website and content into the native language of that market (if non-English speaking).
3) Personalize your content (imagery, copy, tone of voice, testimonials, etc.) for the country. (Do not use your US landing page in Germany for example).
4) Add the most predominant/native payment options that consumers use in that country. For example, (PayPal, invoice & debit are much more popular payment options used in Germany vs credit cards).
5) Augment your pricing to make sure it’s competitive with competing products/services in the market.
6) Recalibrate customer service practices to support the needs of these localized customers—language, policies etc.
That’s it. 👏
If you do these basic things, your performance and sales should increase. INTL markets is a great strategy to diversify, and it’s never been easier to penetrate them. Just be thoughtful in your approach. Take each market one at a time. Every market is different. The more markets you sell in, the more attractive you are to a broader range of affiliates.
