Types of Creatives Provided by Brands
Creatives such as ads, brand assets, and more are available to you once you're approved to work on a campaign. Brands will generally provide the following assets:
- Brand guidelines
- Brand assets such as logos and product shots
- Email HTML files
- Top-performing ads
- User-Generated Content
- Testimonials
Not all campaigns will have the above assets available, however, most campaigns will have the creative content you'll need to set up your digital campaigns.
Accessing Creatives
Go to partners.squaredance.io
Start by clicking into the Campaign that you're interested in. You must be approved onto a Campaign before you can access it's Creatives.
Note: Creatives and Box folders are set up by the Brand, which may result in different set ups across different Campaigns
Once you're in the Campaign overview, click on the Creatives tab as highlighted below.
Partners will be presented with a mini-Box folder directly in platform where they can click and navigate through the available sub-folders and download single files.
For example, clicking into Creative Styles and navigating through the various sub-folders will bring you to a library of images that you can then use for your own needs.
The files you see below can be previewed and downloaded directly from the view in platform.
Open in Box
Under the Creatives tab, Partners will also see an option to view Creatives through the Box folder, highlighted below.
The Box folder may have additional content not shown in platform, such as PDF files, and is the best way to access creatives if you're looking to download multiple files or entire folders.
Jumping into the Box folder, we see a few PDF files that weren't visible directly in platform.
Partners are also presented with the sub-folders available in platform and can navigate through the folders in the exact same way.
One of the key differences is the ability to download entire folders or multiple files at the same time, which should make things more convenient for Partners
Creative Approval Process
Before running any ads on a campaign, you'll need to submit your ad content to the brand for approval.
To begin, search for your approved campaign (you can only submit ad approvals for campaigns you're already approved on). When you select a campaign you'll see an approval tab.
How to Submit Creatives for Approval
It is very important that you do not navigate away from this page as your drafted content will not save. Once you've inserted your copy and creative content, you can then hit submit at the bottom of the page. This then results in 3 separate items for approval being created which will then enter into Pending status.
If you need to make any changes to your copy or content, you can click on the edit button to revise your copy/notes and click on submit to update your content. You can also view the revision history by selecting the chevron icon to view any changes. You can also delete your submission by click on the x button.
Submitting Multiple Requests
Similar to the steps shown above, you can submit multiple headers, body, and visual content in a single request. Click on the request approval button. Next, beside the headline and body fields, you'll see a + sign where you can add multiple lines of content into your submission or remove them by clicking the trash can icon. For visual content, you can upload multiple files.
Supported Content
When uploading content under visual content please be sure to only upload the following file formats:
Image
- png
- jpg
- gif
- webp
Video
- mp4
- webm
- mov
- mkv
Campaign Requirements
Prior to submitting your request, we highly recommend you click on the View Guidelines link below the Approvals header.
Viewing Pending & Approved Creatives
What happens after you submit a creative approval request? Your request will be moved to the pending tab, where you can view all your submissions that have not yet been reviewed by the brand. If you change your mind about a request, you can choose to remove your submission altogether (more on this below).
If you wish to revise the creatives request, you can click on the pencil icon on the right. Bear in mind that editing a pending request will take it out of its current position in the approval queue and reset its note. If the note should be carried forward for the edited version, be sure to copy it into the edited note section. You can also revoke the request by clicking on the X icon.
Approved creatives are all the ads that the brand or advertiser has given the green light for you to run. Clicking the Approved tab takes you to all the creatives ready for immediate use
