The TikTok Events API allows for seamless tracking integration between your TikTok ads and our platform. A successful integration connects live communication between both TikTok and Squaredance’s servers, providing real time data regarding the performance of your TikTok ads.
This guide will provide step by step instructions on how to successfully set up your TikTok Events API on our platform.
Step 1: Locate Pixel ID and Access Token on TikTok Ads Manager.
1. Please log-in to your TikTok Business account and open up your TikTok Ads Manager. On the top menu bar of Ads Manager, hover over Assets, and when a drop down menu appears, please press Events.
2. Then click on Manage like the image above.
3. After landing on the subsequent page, press on the pixel that you wish to integrate with our platform. (If no pixels are present on this page, please create one.

4. Pressing Settings on the Pixel page will allow you to generate an Access Token by pressing the "Generate Access Token" CTA button. The Pixel ID is present under the Pixel name.
Now that you have both the Pixel ID and the Access Token values, please head over to our platform.
Step 2: Integrating Tiktok Pixels on Squaredance
1. After opening our platform, please select the campaign of you choice.
2. Click on the Pixels tab and Add a pixel like the image above.
3. Name your pixel, then select "Funnel Events" on the "Fires At" drop down. Next, select the "TikTok Events API" on the "Format" drop down, and proceed to paste the Access Token, and Pixel Code (Pixel ID) that you have retrieved from your TikTok Ads Manager in the previous step. If the Access Token and Pixel ID is verified, our platform will allow you to save this pixel.
4. To complete the integration, please repeat the step above, but select "Purchase" at the "Fires At" drop down. Make sure to use the same Access Token and Pixel ID as the "Funnel Events" pixel you have just created. After these steps, the connection between TikTok and Squaredance will be live, and firing events back to TikTok will begin!
- ** Important - When creating ads on TikTok, please append
&ttclid=__CLICKID__
at the end of the ad links. Appending this parameter allows TikTok ads to pass the click id to the funnel whenever a new user lands on it. To know more about TikTok’s click id please refer to TikTok's TTCLID Parameter Doc.
*** If you manage multiple ad accounts on TikTok, you are also able to place multiple pixels on a single funnel. Simply create additional pixels on the funnel of your choice, but a fresh Pixel ID and Access Token pair is required for each Funnel Events + Purchase pixel pair.
